Looking for something FUN to do over school vacation week? The Connecticut Science Center is open daily 10AM–5PM April 8–23. Celebrate Earth Day all vacation long with earth themed science and activities every day. Explore the wonder of earth and “See the Unseen” from deep sea to the outer reaches of Earth in the all-new Science Alley. See the new traveling exhibit Engineering Earth and discover the wonder that lies beneath our feet. You won’t want to miss Live Science, Storytime, and 3D Movies.

Go to the Science Center this Earth Day for the annual celebration and the Opening of the Rooftop Garden on Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Celebrate the opening for the season with us, weather permitting. Come enjoy the sunshine while you stroll through our many species of plants. Enjoy earth-themed activities and Live Science. Become a Science Center member and be part of our exclusive Connecticut Science Center Earth Day t-shirt giveaway (the first 250 members get one)!

Jungle Jim’s of Boston is back with another amazing balloon show! Wild About Recycling is sure to get audiences excited to reduce, reuse, and recycle
•An exciting puppet show put on by the Hispanic Health Council
•Make your own energy efficient solar oven out of a pizza box to take home with Earthlight Technologies, LLC
•Celebrate the season opening of our rooftop garden by designing your own flowerpot and planting your own seedling to take home
•The first 250 Science Center members to join us will receive an exclusive limited edition t-shirt
Games and prizes with U.S. EPA – New England Region
