Summer at Camp Carlson

August 3, 2017 @ 9:00 am - August 7, 2017 @ 4:00 pm

$230 – $495

All girls are welcome – Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts to enjoy Summer at Camp Carlson!. After a summer at camp, girls will gain character-building skills, leadership skills, outdoor skills, and more! Girls will get to explore their individuality and creativity through activities like swimming lessons, horseback riding lessons, and archery lessons for girls in grades four and higher! Girls in grades four to five can also tap into their survival skills at Girl Scout Survivor Camp where they will refine their outdoor living skills, build shelters, fires, and learn trail signs while enjoying all regular activities at camp.
Aside from its normal programming, girls in grades nine through twelve can participate in a number of leadership programs. These programs focus on leadership development, teamwork, skill-building, and practicing being a great role model while also enjoying the thrills that camp has to offer!
Open Houses for Summer at Camp Carlson is Sunday, April 30 and Sunday May 21, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Bring your whole family to tour the camp, do a fun camp activity or two, ask questions, and register on the spot. It will be a little sneak peek to summer!
While some people still think of Girl Scouts as just cookies, campfires, and friendship bracelets, Girl Scouts in Connecticut are so much more. Girl Scouts are big thinkers, groundbreakers, and role models. Girl Scouts design robots, earn badges, learn financial literacy skills, and improve their communities through take action projects—and they sell the best cookies on the planet! When she’s a Girl Scout, she’s also a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™.
We are Girl Scouts of Connecticut. We’re more than 47,000 members strong – girls and adults – who believe that every girl can change the world.
We’re part of a sisterhood of 2.7 million around the globe. It all began more than 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon Low, who believed in the power of one girl. We continue her vision of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. At Girl Scouts, we believe that there’s a chance for every girl to do something amazing.
