Thursday, July 3

Celebrate America: The Annual Red, White, & Blue Tradition with Hartford Symphony at The Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows. Stay tuned for fireworks after the concert.

Friday, July 4

Participate in the kick-off event for the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Muzzy Field!  5K Run (both trail and road) and the Fuzzy Muzzy Kids Fun Run (1/4 mile) through the scenic route of Rockwell Park in Bristol. All proceeds from the event will benefit The REACH Foundation. Carnival Rides/Games/ Food & Craft Vendors 10 AM-9 PM

July 4th Extravaganza at the Marina in Norwich offers family fun and child activities including bounce houses, face painting, local bands, food vendors and a huge fireworks display.

Movies After Dark in Colt Park, Hartford kicks off @ 6:30 p.m.,  “Fire of Dreams” movie (PG) at sunset. Pre-program activities may include live entertainment, free face painting, and yoga. Bring low chairs or blankets, picnic, bug spray; friendly, leashed dogs are welcome; free popcorn.   *FREE*

Saturday, July 5

Baseball Muzzy Field in Bristol turns 100! A day of fun for families:

  • FREE Greater Bristol Disc Golf Association Demonstration, Home Run Derby, Putting Contest: 9:30 AM
  • Carnival Rides/Games/ Food&Craft Vendors: 10 AM-9 PM
  • FREE MLB Umpires Clinic: 1:00 PM
  • FREE Team CT Baseball Clinic: 2:15 PM
  • Concert: 5:30 PM featuring JOURNEY former lead Steve Augeri and RTJ & The New Stylistics
  • Fireworks Display: Following Conclusion of Concert around 9:30 PM

Fairfield Summer Celebration is a patriotic picnic celebrating Fairfield’s 375 years of history!

Muzzy Field Celebration Concert @ 5:30 p.m. (gates open @ 4:30), Bristol
