What is it like to live in a neighborhood with lots of different kinds of people?”

Express your story in a poster — calling all children grades K-5 will tell us from public, magnet, and charter schools in the following towns: Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, West Hartford, Wethersfield, and Windsor.  You are invited to participate in this year’s Kids Poster Contest in celebration of Fair Housing Month sponsored by the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the City of Hartford!

  • Maximum size of poster 18×14 inches
  • Poster must include your name, age, and school
  • Mailed entries must include a signed release form and a contact phone number for your parent or guardian

The contest will culminate in a Prize Ceremony at Hartford City Hall on Tuesday, April 29th at 6pm, where we will display the twelve winning Posters – which will be made into a 2015 CHRO Fair Housing Calendar – and award prizes. Poster deadline is Monday, April 14th —  you can work on final touches on your first day of spring break!
